Vellum Butterfly

Here's a card I made from a design featured in the Stretch Your Stamps Class.
The butterfly is die cut so it hangs off the edge of the card but the width of the card still allows you to mail it in an A2 envelope, no extra postage required!

The butterfly is made up of two pieces layered together.  The bottom piece is vellum coloured with Alcohol Inks and the top piece is pink cardstock coloured with a Stardust Pen.  (Just to note, there's a bit of colour discrepancy in the photo, the butterfly is pink not the red it shows here).

Here's a look at the inside of the card.

I'm entering this over at the Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge.  There's still lots of time to make a project for this challenge.

Wishing you an inky day!

Neon Flower

I had my mind set on using this stamp from Hero Arts to create a paper flower for this months challenge
but I just couldn't make it work so I gave up on the idea.  But my obsession with using this stamp continued so I decided to try again and I played around some more and came up with this.
Neon Flower

I stamped the image several times in each neon colour from this months challenge and formed flower "cups" that were layered on top of each other.  I think it's a happy flower and am pretty pleased with how it turned out.

I'm giving this card to a friend for her birthday (in person, this card is not mailable) and it seemed a shame that the flower couldn't be enjoyed for a long time so I added a magnet to the back of the flower and made it so the flower can be removed from the card front and  put on the fridge for further enjoyment and/or admiration  : )

Thanks for stopping by and wishing you all an inky day!

Stretch Your Stamps - Floral

I haven't been keeping up with making cards for the Stretch Your Stamps online classes but I am enjoying all the info and videos for the class.

This is my first time inking up this image from the Floral Blossoms set. When the set first came out it didn't go on my wish list but then I saw all the wonderful cards made by Barb here and decided I just had to add this stamp set to my collection. Thanks Barb for your inspirations!

I did some tone-on-tone stamping for my background, I think it looks like pretty patterned paper, and since I wanted the background to be quite visible I just added a simple tag with a sentiment to finish it off.

I'm entering this card over at Moxie Fab World for the Stamp It! Cards Thank You Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
